Welcome Back

Thank you for checking my blog again. I have really been enjoying my time in foster care. I am really settling in. I love the snow! It is so much fun to play in. I hope we get more. But after playing in the cold snow, there is nothing like a nice warm bed to take a nap in. I am really enjoying the other dogs here as well, I do great with them. I am just a very smart, happy, easy going kind of guy. Check back soon for more updates, Dudley.

Welcome to my blog.

Well hello there, I'm Dudley. Its a pleasure to have you read my blog. I am an English Setter, about a year old. I was in a shelter when someone came to get me. I was put on a transport. A volunteer from IL Birddog Rescue picked me up and that is when the fun started! First I got a bath and I loved it. It felt so good to get rid of that "shelter smell". Next I was picked up by a nice lady that let me spend a few nights at her house until my foster mom could get me. And let me tell you all of this has been so much better then being in a shelter. It did take me a little while to come out of my little Setter shell, but now that I have I am having a great time. I like to follow my foster mom around the house, sometimes I give her a gentle nudge so she knows I want her to pet me. She said I'm a smart boy too! And I try to be a little sneaky. When its time for her to go to work I jump back in bed and pretend to be asleep so I don't have to go in my crate. I do well in my crate, but I like sleeping in a bed! Also she left for a few mintues the other day and I was left out and I did very well. I am cat friendly. And the best part, I love to be around other dogs, I'm very dog friendly too! Well I hear my friends here running around playing, I'm off to go have some fun. Make sure to check back soon! And don't forget to check out the rescues website Setter Kisses, Dudley
